Fashionista? Check out our book display and search The Vogue Archive

Right now there is an exhibit in the glass cabinets at the Library entrance with a selection of books and magazines on fashion and design from the library’s collections. Interesting for those who study at the School of Textiles, or for those who are just generally interested in fashion 🙂 Feel free to borrow the books, magazines however are not for home loan but you are welcome to sit down in the lounge and read them.

1925We also show a selection of Vogue magazine covers from 1895 until today that we downloaded from the Vogue Archive. This database is available for students and staff at the University through the library’s subscriptions. In this database you will find American Vogue from 1892 up to the latest issue. All pages are scanned in high resolution color, and you can save, download or print them. All information is also indexed and searchable – for example, you can search for a photographer, designer, company, model, garment etc. and find materials in categories like: Cover, Fashion shoot, Article, Advertisement, etc.
